The Tradition That is HOME!

At our house, we make our turkey on Wednesday so we can usher in the Thanksgiving holiday with a twilight dinner that evening.  On Thursday, we add slow roasted ham, our favorite desserts and other tasty trimmings to make our holiday dinner extra special.  The holiday begins with watching the Thanksgiving Day parade with a sampling of every dessert for a memorable breakfast treat!  Then, we’re busy transforming our home into a fully decorated holiday ranch–like the ones in the holiday movie marathon!  At the end of the holiday, there will be a tree in every room and a fire crackling on the hearth.  Indeed, there is no place like HOME!

Not everyone likes to cook.  A tree in every room makes us smile but it isn’t necessary for a happy holiday.  Every table isn’t filled with dozens of people–some families are small like ours.  A beloved pet isn’t part of every home but we sure love ours.  Whatever your tradition, however you spend your holiday, it is my hope that the warmth of home will fill your heart and happiness will follow.
